This Cerebral Microdialysis Satellite Symposium, preceding INTS 2024, will consist of a varied programme covering important aspects of this field
This Symposium is coming 10 years after we held our International Consensus Forum (2014) in Cambridge. Since then, many new findings have emerged, and microdialysis has grown into an established clinical monitoring technique in specialist neurocritical care centres, as well a research tool for elucidating brain metabolism, inflammation, and therapeutic approaches. Microdialysis, as an important element of multimodality monitoring, is helping to pave the way for improved neurocritical care protocols. Scope exists for future advances in technology, including microdialysis analyser equipment, which may further enhance applicability.
