  10. Educational sustainability / Sustaining as an HEI
  11. The culture of tradition / innovation
  12. The Lean HE legacy

Session Proposals

As an in-person conference, we want to maximise interactivity and opportunities to teach and learn from our Lean HE peers. As such, we particularly welcome interactive, practical sessions but are interested in sessions of all types, including:

  1. Oral presentation - e.g. sharing direct experiences or insights
  2. Workshop - e.g. a hands on, interactive session
  3. Discussion - e.g. Campfire session or World Café
  4. Demonstration - e.g. how to apply a concept or tool
  5. Pecha Kucha - e.g. quick story telling through slides

If you are new to conferences, or have not presented before, feel free to contact the CI (Continuous Improvement) team or the Lean HE community for support and advice: leanhe2024@admin.cam.ac.uk. We will also be offering resources and tips for creating and delivering engaging content in the run-up to the conference via this website.

Note: By submitting an abstract you will be designated the corresponding author for that abstract and all communications regarding the abstract (submission, review, presentation etc.) will be sent to the email address provided. It is your responsibility to communicate with any co-authors regarding your presentation.

Important Information regarding abstracts and conference sessions:

  1. As part of the new Encore service for LeanHE, after the conference you may be asked to deliver your session again virtually for members of the network who are unable to attend the conference in person. If your submission is accepted, the organisers will be in touch to discuss viability.
  2. Applicants are welcome to submit more than one proposal for consideration. These need to be submitted separately and although they will be initially reviewed anonymously by the panel, the organisers reserve the right to limit sessions from the same organisation or host.
  3. Abstracts and content within sessions should be original and ideally not presented at previous conferences.
  4. As the conference is peer-to-peer and unsponsored, sessions aimed at promoting or selling 3rd party products or services will be rejected.
