RECEPTION TUESDAY

Bristol Foyer, Delta Hotels by Marriott Bristol City Centre 

The welcome drinks reception will be hosted in the Bristol Foyer, Ground Floor of the conference hotel on the evening of Tuesday 26th August, from 6pm until 8pm. Pre registration is required for catering purposes which will include two drinks per person. Please ensure you collect your delegate badge to attend the welcome reception.


WEDNESDAY SUPPER & SOCIAL

We The Curious

On Wednesday 27th we will host the ARA 'supper & social' evening amongst the exhibits of We The Curious, from 6.30pm until 8.30pm. 

Located in the heart of Bristol’s Harbourside, We The Curious is an educational charity and a leading UK science centre, surrounded by vibrant bars and restaurants, making it a prime spot for an evening event. The ground floor gallery, where we will be for the evening, features interactive science exhibits that encourage hands-on exploration, sparking curiosity and conversation among guests. Expect two drinks per person followed by a light supper.

This is a 1 mile/25 minute walk from the conference venue (Google maps directions). Shuttle transfers are being considered.

GALA DINNER THURSDAY

Bristol Suite, Delta Hotel

On the evening of  Thursday 28th, the Bristol Suite in the conference hotel will transform for the ARA 2025 Gala Dinner and Awards. Enjoy an arrival drink, a 3 course dinner with wine or soft drinks, followed by dancing.

Considerable thought has gone into crafting the below dinner menu for the Gala Dinner, ensuring a balance of innovation, flavour, and sustainability while catering to a wide range of dietary requirements. The 2025 menu has been designed to offer delicious and creative dishes that showcase high-quality, responsibly sourced ingredients. ARA and the Delta Hotel Chef are committed to providing an inclusive dining experience, accommodating various dietary needs without compromising on taste or presentation. To streamline service and enhance the dining experience, we will ask delegates to select their main course during the registration process.

Dinner Menu

Starting with:
Heritage Beetroot Carpaccio with Vegan Feta and Balsamic Dressing (ve, gf)

For main, a choice of:

  1. Stuffed Baked Butternut Squash with Quinoa, Mushroom, Spinach & Vegan Cheese Stuffing, Roast Potato, Roasted Root Vegetables, Green Beans (ve,gf) OR
  2. Roast Lamb Rump served with Minted New Potato, Chantenay Carrots, and Tender-stem Broccoli (gravy and mint sauce on tables) 

Finishing with:
Vanilla Panacotta with Raspberry Coulis & Basil OR Sticky Toffee Pudding with Vegan Ice Cream (ve, gf) [depending on dietary requirements confirmed during registration]

Note: tea and coffee will not be served after dinner, as past events have shown low demand

Awards and Host

The ARA 2025 Awards will be presented during the Gala Dinner with the help of news anchor, presenter and actor, Alex Lovell, a well-known broadcaster particularly recognisable for the most popular nightly BBC News regional programme, Points West, where she was the main anchor from 2005 to 2023.

Alex became the co-presenter of ITV News West Country from January 2024. Alex has an immense talent for live presenting. For 5 years she hosted the daily Five live game show Brainteaser, launched the auction channel bidtv with Paul Ross and shone with Dave Benson Phillips on Playhouse Disney.
