The Vasant and Nirmal Oswal Trainee Scholarship

Lasers in medicine and aesthetics are now commonplace, but in-house training often lacks comprehensive knowledge and awareness of new developments. To address this, the British Medical Laser Association (BMLA), established in 1983, holds annual courses and conferences. Mr. Vasant Oswal, Founder member and BMLA's Vice President, and his wife Nirmal, have established five annual scholarships for trainees. Winners selected by the Education Committee receive funding to attend the conference and course, covering the fees.

The BMLA is pleased to announce a maximum number of five scholarships to the UK and Overseas laser trainees as per the following terms:

  • The Scholarships are available for the attendance of the UK-based Annual Conference. They are not valid if the conference is held jointly outside the UK with any host sister organisation in any particular year.
  • The title of the scholarship is the ‘Vasant and Nirmal Oswal Trainee Scholarship’. The successful trainee/s will receive a certificate of the award.
