The BMLA 2022 Annual Conference & Educational Courses will be delivered at the Surgeons Quarter, with the conference dinner being hosted at The Caves, both unique Edinburgh venues!
The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh is an internationally respected institution, a thriving global network of 25,000 medical professionals, pioneering in the advancement of surgical breakthrough and patient care since 1505. But today, their remit of care has expanded by offering cutting-edge hospitality, operating multiple venues in Edinburgh’s iconic old town, in an area called Surgeons Quarter.
Surgeons Quarter is one central destination consisting of four conference venues, a cafe and a hotel. Each one shares its location and history with an unrivalled passion to deliver world-class service and style.
The Educational Courses on Wednesday 25 May 2022 will be delivered in the Prince Philip Building of the Surgeons Quarters (see building 4 on the venue map above). You will need to access the buidling through the main gates on Nicolson Street.
Conference Days Venue
The main Conference on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 May 2022 will be delivered in the Quincentenary Conference Centre of the Surgeons Quarters (see building 2 on the venue map above). You can access this building directly from Nicolson Street.
Conference Hotel
The BMLA Conference HQ Hotel is Ten Hill Place, only a 5 minute walk from the main conference and educational courses venues (see building 5 on the above venue map).
The Welcome Reception on Wednesday 25 May (included in the conference ticket) will be held in the Ten Hill Place bar area.
For more details on B&B conference rates and to book your accommodation at Ten Hill Place please visit the Accommodation page.
The BMLA 2022 networking dinner will be hosted at The Caves, a truly unique venue that makes up the sub-structure of the 18th Century South Bridge. There is no venue more Edinburgh than the Caves, or more Scottish, if you consider there was once so much Whisky stored here that it became known as "Whisky Row".
The networking dinner will take place on Thursday, 26 May 2022, from 19:00. Expect a drinks reception, three course meal and Ceilidh band playing traditional Scottish folk music.
This is an additional element that can be purchased during registration for £72 per person.
