When: Friday 27 May, 12:30 - 13:15
Where: Wolfson Hall (Plenary Room)

Scientific knowledge and technology in the world of Class IV Laser therapy have significantly improved clinical outcomes in the sporting arena over the last 5 years, above and beyond what was previously known with less powerful therapy lasers. This is a Masterclass for physical therapists and medical professionals about the science and clinical applications of Laser Therapy.

This Masterclass will briefly introduce new science and clinical applications of photobiomodulation for modern Therapeutic Medical Lasers to clinicians and demonstrate how it complements and improves pain management and tissue rehabilitation, ensuring sports people and general public return back to full fitness stronger and healthier than without Class IV Laser. Modern medical and manual therapists need to enhance and assimilate new techniques and equipment to improve the quality and speed of rehabilitation they provide.

The aim of this session is to share years of experience in using Class IV lasers in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, pain management and introduce the science behind Laser Therapy and how it can achieve such a varied effect on musculoskeletal and neuronal tissues and pain sensation/conduction.
