The ARA 2024 Annual Conference will take place at the Birmingham Conference and Events Centre (BCEC) in the centre of Birmingham.
The BCEC is located in the heart of Birmingham’s city centre, just a 2 minute walk from Birmingham New Street Station.
Situated in the middle of Britain’s motorway network and just a 9 minute train to Birmingham International Airport it is the perfect location, no matter where you are travelling from.
Cleverly designed with a wall-to-wall glass frontage to make the most of the natural daylight, The BCEC’s light and bright pre-function space leads directly on to multiple function rooms of various sizes.
All meeting rooms feature in-built high-tech equipment including Click Share, flat screen smart TVs and projectors, flipcharts and hi-speed Wi-Fi as standard across the venue.

Birmingham International Airport:
Situated 16 miles from the BCEC.
The train goes direct from the airport to Birmingham New Street and takes between 10 and 15 minutes. The average ticket will cost around £5
East Midlands Airport:
Situated 82 miles from the BCEC.
Bus, taxi, train: Take the bus from East Mids Airport, Coach Park to East Mids Gateway, Interchange. Then take a taxi from East Mids Gateway, Interchange to Long Eaton. After that, take the train from Long Eaton to Derby and finally take the train from Derby to Birmingham New Street. This journey takes approximately 1 hour and 34 minutes and costs between £49 and £125
Line 9 bus, train: Take the line 9 bus from East Mids Airport, Terminal Building to Burton upon Trent, Railway Station. Then take the train from Burton-on-Trent to Birmingham New Street. This journey takes approximately 2 hours and 28 minutes
Taxi: You can also take a taxi directly from East Midlands Airport to Birmingham New Street Station. This journey takes approximately 43 minutes and costs between £90 and £110

Birminghan New Street Station (South Side Exit)
Walking - Leave the train station via the Southside exit opposite the John Lewis escalators. Turn right at the top of the stairs and continue around to the ramp and follow this down. Turn left onto Hill Street at the bottom of the ramp and continue down this road. The BCEC is located on your right hand side.
