The Green House

The Green House is a specialist support service for children, young people and families living in Avon and Somerset who have experienced sexual abuse. The Green House team believe in creative evidence-based support services led by the voices of young people and their families. Their services are designed to grow connection and community with families who have experienced sexual abuse and have a creative arts focus. The Green House is currently the host of the Bluestar Project together with Emma Harewood Consultancy, the UKs best practice standard in the delivery of pre-trial therapy and support services to survivors of trauma. The Bluestar Project exists to ensure that every survivor of trauma can access essential care services when they report a crime to the police. The programme was funded by the Home Office to develop research, evidence-based best practice resources and a training/accreditation programme that would improve access to pre-trial therapy services. The Bluestar Project is led by Dr Gemma Halliwell, CEO of the Green House and Emma Harewood of Emma Harewood Consultancy
