Professor Christina Young is Director of the Kelvin Centre for Conservation and Cultural Heritage Research at the University of Glasgow.
Before joining the University of Glasgow in 2017, Christina was a Reader at the Courtauld Institute of Art in the Conservation of Easel Paintings and Conservation Science. Prior to that she was Leverhulme Fellow at Tate and a visiting scholar at the Getty Conservation Institute. Christina teaches and conducts technical art history, conservation and conservation science. Her recent research has been focused the history of British scene painters and their materials. This research relies heavily on the use of archives in many forms and on the development of oral history archives.

Biography
Julie Bon, ACR FIIC, is Collections Manager at the National Trust for Scotland. Prior to that she was Head of Collections Care at the National Library of Scotland. Qualifying with an MA in Conservation of Historic Objects from the University of Lincoln Julie held a number of project jobs before being appointed as a Regional Conservator for the National Trust for Scotland in 2006. She was accredited though Icon in 2013 and is an ACR Accreditation mentor and assessor. She sits on Icon’s Accreditation Committee representing Conservation Management and Preventive Conservation and is also a member of Icon’s Conference Committee. She is a guest lecturer at the Kelvin Centre for Textile Conservation at Glasgow University and sits on the Textile Conservation Foundation Board. Julie is also a Vice-Chair of ARA and is a Fellow of the International Institute of Conservation and of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland.
