Don't miss the opportunity, join us in Belfast!

ARA’s 2023 conference returns to Belfast for the first time since 2007.

The 2023 theme is ‘Communities’ and over three days we will talk about communities of users, stakeholders, colleagues, and collaborators. Revisiting and rebuilding relationships and connections, addressing issues prevalent within and between us, whilst, all the time, enriching our professional community with learning and inspiration.

Our 2022 conference brought this professional community together in person for the first time since the pandemic, and, building on that experience, we want to use our 2023 gathering to serve and strengthen the record-keeping community.

Expect a versatile programme that we hope will cater to our wide variety of stakeholders, an action-packed Information Village and social networking functions so that we can carry on the conversations across three separate evenings.

This website will be updated regularly to provide you with more information on the meeting but general enquiries are also welcome at ARAconference@opening-doors.org.uk

We look forward to welcoming you!

Yours Sincerely,

ARA 2023 Organising Committee

ABOUT ARA

The ARA was created to ensure that archives and records were properly looked after and preserved for posterity and that all those working hard on this task received the proper training and support to do so. We work to provide the broadest and most coherent voice on all matters relating to the record-keeping sector and aim to broaden the care, management, access and use of records and archives by everyone. We embrace all those working in archives, records management, archive conservation, archive learning, research and outreach as well as anyone in the wider community with an interest in records and archives including users, owners and volunteers.
