Abstract
This panel will be presenting on Children’s Access to Justice. With the United Nations Children’s Rights Committee currently considering a General Observation No. 27 on this issue, the discussion will focus on key challenges, best practices, and legal developments aimed at ensuring that children’s rights are effectively upheld in justice systems worldwide. The panel will address:
• Barriers to justice faced by children, including legal, procedural, and practical obstacles.
• International legal frameworks and the role of the UN in strengthening children’s access to justice.
• Effective legal representation and advocacy for children in family and public law matters.
• Innovative approaches to child-friendly justice, including participation rights and procedural adaptations.
With leading voices in children’s law contributing their expertise, this session will provide valuable insights into the evolving legal landscape and the next steps toward ensuring meaningful access to justice for all children.

ANA MARÍA KUDISCH CASTELLÓ is the sole administrator of Kudisch Abogados S.C., an independent law firm she has led for over 20 years, working alongside highly experienced lawyers and expert consultants who support her legal practice.
She earned a Master’s Degree in Family Law from the Instituto de Ciencias Jurídicas, now Universidad Tepantlato. She is Private Mediator No. 002, certified by the Superior Court of Justice of Mexico City.
Ana María has been appointed as an expert witness in Mexican Family Law in the United States and Canada, with extensive experience in child abduction and restitution cases. Since 2001, she has been an active member of the Mexican Bar Association.
In 2019, she was appointed Vice President of the Mexican Bar Foundation and received the Pro Bono Award in 2016 from the same organization. She also served as Council Member of the National Bar Association from 2020 to 2021.
She is an active member of the National College of Mediators (CONAMEC).

Biography
Maria holds a degree in Law from the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid, and a Master's degree in Private Law from the Université Paris XI (France) in 2005.
She began her legal practice in Madrid in 2006, specialising in family and child law from the outset.
Specialized in international family law from the Universidad Carlos III in Madrid, she combines the defense of cases with participation in conferences and congresses on family law and child protection, at national and international level.
Since 2015, she has been practising as a civil mediator in the field of family law.
Since 2016, she has co-directed and taught the Master's in Family and Succession Law at the Barcelona Bar Association.
She is a member of the Childhood and Adolescence Subcommittee of the General Council of Spanish Lawyers and co-president of the Childhood and Adolescence Section of the Madrid Bar Association.
Involved in teaching and field studies, her contributions include:
Member of the research team for the DAPHNE Programme – EUROPEAN CHARTER project on L’Avocat des Femmes Victimes de Violence, supported and funded by the European Union.
Participation on behalf of the General Council of Spanish Lawyers before the Committee on the Rights of the Child in the pre-session of Spain's 7th periodic review.
External advisor to the Expert Group for a report commissioned by the Ministry of Youth and Children on child and adolescent protection in the digital environment.
Direct involvement through associations and institutions as an external advisor in drafting amendments to regional and national legislation on childhood and adolescence rights.
She is a member of national and international family and child law associations, including AEAFA, AIJUDEFA, ACF, AMAFI, and the Family and Law Platform.
